Percentages ko halke mai mat lena!

COMMENT THE ANSWER !

percentages is quite a basic and easy topic, covered by ever aspirant on the first day of preparation! But I have noticed that lengthy or application question of the same topic is where students get stuck!

while preparation you all must be in mid or end phases of the syllabus, lets rewind and practice one question here.

DILR humbles everyone, specially 60 days before CAT

⏸️ Pause the video.

Try solving the question yourself first. Then watch the solution.

I've given CAT twice, and by God's grace DILR has always been one of my stronger sections. But the reality is that DILR is where most aspirants struggle the most.

The good news? You're at the perfect time to start.

A few sets every day over the next couple of months can make a massive difference on exam day.

I often feel questions that are tricky looking/lengthy arre actually the easiest!

Students often come and say that the question is too lengthy, and that makes them feel, "ye to nahi hoga". But honestly!!! They are one of the easiest. Lengthy questions are just a part of wordplay, crack the language, and everything else is easy. What is your opinion? Can you share such questions in the comment section and let's see how the peer community solves them... Let's go!!

CAT 2026 Aspirants: What's Your Biggest Doubt With 6 Months Left?

One thing I've noticed while talking to CAT aspirants is that many people spend more time worrying about 'HOW' to prepare than actually preparing.

The truth is, there isn't a single formula that works for everyone. Some people do well with coaching, while others score exceptionally well through self-preparation and consistency.

With CAT 2026 now just a few months away, we're hosting an open discussion around preparation strategies, common mistakes, mock-test planning, and how to make the most of the time that's left.

Joining the discussion will be Samanty Dhore (IIM Ahmedabad Alumna), who has been through the same journey and will be sharing practical insights from her preparation experience, lessons she learned along the way, and what she would do differently if she had to prepare again.

If you've ever wondered:

• Am I starting too late?

• Is my current preparation strategy working?

• How many mocks should I be taking?

• What should my next 6 months actually look like?

• How do I stay consistent throughout the preparation journey?

This session is for you.

This percentage question looked easier before I actually tried solving it 😭

Tried solving this quickly in my head and somehow ended up making it more complicated than it actually is 😅

Posting it here because these small percentage-based questions are usually more about observation than calculation.

Would be interesting to know how others think through it.

I’ll share the approach I used later once more people attempt it.

Saw this question while practicing today and thought I’d post it here because I remember getting stuck on these types!!!!

One thing I’ve realised after CAT prep is that these “simple looking” profit-loss questions are usually where people overcalculate.

Came across this one today and thought it was worth sharing here.

Try it once before jumping into formulas. Curious to know what approach others use for this.

Will share the method I used tomorrow in case it helps someone.

Try solving it before swiping to next post👀
And honestly, avoid pen & paper for the first attempt if possible.

Would love to know how others approached it.

CAT prep can get repetitive sometimes, so trying to make practice a little more interactive.
