Mom had her colonoscopy today. Just some questions

So, as I said she had hers done today.

She had polyps 8 removed. One was too big (called a lesion?) and couldn’t be removed because they didn’t want to risk damaging the colon because it was too large. So they need to schedule follow up surgery to remove it.

That’s all we know.

Obviously I know the bigger it is, the more concern there is. But since they have to remove it surgically, is there a greater chance of it being cancerous? Or is this no different than the removed ones, but they couldn’t do it because it was bigger?

Is there a difference between a polyp and a lesion? Does the location make it more dangerous/more likely to be cancerous?
