Help - delamination and leaking FAST
My mom has a residential pool with a plaster shell that’s about 25 years old. The tarp covering the pool over this past winter had a leak and the pump on top of the tarp started pulling out water from the pool below. We didn’t notice until it was too late and the plaster ended up drying out.
Poor guy filled the pool with water this week and it started delaminating really quickly so we knew it would need to be resurfaced. We already have some calls in to get this done. But over the past 24 hours the pool has started losing water and it intensified tonight. It has lost at least 4 inches today alone. The waterline is below the skimmer and everything has now been shut off. We do have a garden hose running into the pool for what that’s worth.
It’s 9 PM and I don’t know what to do. Do I shut off the hose? If I shut off the hose and the pool level drop more will it cause more damage? I don’t even know.
Somebody please advise I am LOST thank you
