Inside All Yours- Part 2 The Impact
Claire walks into the bedroom looking heartbroken. Evert is sitting on the bed, withdrawn and lost in his own thoughts. He had wanted to go to the living room, but his mind kept him stuck where he was. Claire tries to talk to him, but he feels restless and moves over to the small bench in the bedroom. He turns around, frustrated. Claire feels her own irritation rising, but they still decide to sit together on the bench. Evert wants to leave with her, but Claire feels powerless and doesn’t think it’s a good idea. The tension hangs between them—heavy, but honest.
Their home, where Laurie and Tom live, Laurie is standing in her office when her phone buzzes. She reads a message from Iris:
“Can I come by for a moment? It’s important.”
Laurie replies immediately:
“Of course. I assume you have something important to tell me.”
She pauses for a moment, her breath a little unsteady.
A little later, Iris and Laurie sit together in the dining room. Iris brings good news—news that finally frees Laurie from the fear she’s been carrying for days. Laurie’s shoulders drop, her eyes soften.
“You saved me,” she says, relieved.
Iris smiles. “No problem… I saw the fear in your eyes when Lodewijk walked into your event representing All Yours and everything started to fall apart. I couldn’t let that happen. I contacted the newspaper to protect you, and I’m glad they agreed.”
Later, Laurie is sitting on the couch when Tom walks in, ready to take Binky for a walk. He stops the moment he sees her face. Laurie tells him that Iris saved her business. Tom’s doubt disappears instantly.
“I’ve been so worried about you… you deserve so much more,” he says.
Laurie becomes emotional and thanks him.
“You fought until the end,” Tom adds. “And you did beautiful work with Rob.”
Laurie smiles through her emotions. “Thank you… this means so much. I’m so grateful for you.”
Iris is home now. A quiet transition, a moment of calm.
Then the scene shifts to Lodewijk’s apartment. Claire arrives with a feeling she can’t ignore anymore: she has to speak—on behalf of All Yours, on behalf of Evert, on behalf of herself. She starts calmly, but quickly notices that Lodewijk finds his phone more important than anything she’s saying.
“Could you show some respect and listen?” she asks.
He barely looks up. “Why would I? Evert doesn’t understand what I’m struggling with.”
Claire’s voice sharpens. She tells him he’s destroying the reputation of All Yours and nearly ruined Laurie’s work.
“I won’t let that happen,” she says.
Her energy drains.
“I think I should go. I’m done.”
Lodewijk throws her a cold look.
“Fine. Then I’ll tell Evert what kind of person you really are.”
Claire turns around.
“Do whatever you want.”
She rides away, the cold air sharper than usual.
At home, she grabs her bowl of vegetables and sits down next to Evert on the couch. Iris is in the background, working on Claire’s laptop—with permission—finishing tasks that Claire and Evert couldn’t handle anymore. Claire becomes emotional.
“I never wanted any of this,” she whispers.
“I didn’t either,” Evert says softly, “but we have to save our company, sweetheart.”
He swallows.
“If I have to fire my brother… then I will.”
Claire looks at him gently.
“Choosing the company over your own brother… that’s brave. I don’t know if I could do that.”
“I have no choice,” Evert says. “Otherwise we’ll lose everything. I love him… but I won’t let anything hurt others anymore.”
Claire exhales.
“Thank you… that takes a weight off my shoulders.”
Iris closes the laptop.
“I finished your tasks. I think I’ll head home—Jasper and I are going to watch a movie. We need it after all this stress.”
Evert nods.
“Thank you, from both of us.”
Iris smiles and leaves.
At home, Iris and Jasper watch a movie. The popcorn is already gone; the bowl sits empty on the table. They sit close together, talking softly about everything that happened.
A quiet ending to a heavy day.
