2nd post. What to do if it won't publish

2nd post. What to do if it won't publish

Just a tip from someone who is muscling through the issues while making my own app.

If your app isn't publishing or taking a ridiculous amount of time to do it. Go here

Open </> Code view in Bolt. (Top-left corner of the preview

check the Publish Output section at the bottom of </> Code view.

If it gets stuck on say 95% and after an hour is going up by really small amounts. Type what it says on the screen and prompt AI that it is stuck on 95% what is wrong.

My first tpublish today took 46mins. After I did this prompt it dropped to 3 minutes.

The above picture is what a published Output looks like

Below is from bolt support which also helps.

Copy the most recent error text from Terminal or Publish Output and paste it into the Bolt chat, with a prompt like: “Here is the Terminal/Publish Output error. Please fix the project so preview/publish works again.”

Also, for publishing specifically, make sure you’re using the Publish menu in the top-right (Publish/Update)

Publishing issues? Tip to see if it's actually publishing or not

If you are like me. Just a regular person who has an idea and can now create it, but no frigging idea when issues arise. I have a tip if it's taking your app a really long time to publish. This came from bolt support and is awesome. That said, with Expo projects in particular, preview/publish problems are usually caused by a new code or configuration change (not a broken GitHub/Supabase/StackBlitz integration). The fastest way to diagnose it when something breaks again is to use the built-in logs in Bolt:

Open </> Code view in Bolt. (Top-left corner of the preview)

Check the Bolt terminal output in the bottom section for any preview issues (it usually shows errors in red).

If publishing fails, try Publish again, then check the Publish Output section at the bottom of </> Code view.

In this 'publish output' section, if nothing is happening, close your browser, open and repeat.

If it is publishing, you will see this window (above pic) and it will show you how much is left to go until it finishes publishing. So much better than waiting with no knowledge if its working or not.

about to cancel my subscription and try another AI app builder. Help please!

For over a week I have not been able to preview my app that I had finished building. Web container not loading errors, just a white screen and no preview for hours. Not publishing. I have contacted support, but it can take over 10 days to get a response. I have used 10M tokens at least trying to fix why it won't open the preview or save changes. Then don't get me started on the other issues I've come across. I think I've got a problem between github and bolt.new as well with changes not saving. I even tried to bring down another verson from github but that won't load either. Has anyone else had this type of problem? I've spent hundreds of hours developing this app to perfection and really want to get back in. Cheers
