Our destination wedding in Bali

Graduate bride 2 months ago and still very much on a high 🥹

My now-husband and I always envisioned a relatively small destination wedding. At first, we considered doing it locally here in the Philippines — Bohol, Palawan, or Boracay — but we realized a huge portion of our budget would go to flying out and accommodating suppliers.

We eventually decided on Bali and hired mostly local suppliers, except for our priest and our host/DJ. Honestly, it ended up being one of the best decisions we made.

For anyone considering a destination wedding, I’d genuinely recommend looking into Bali. We were able to keep everything at around ₱2.5M for 70 guests, that already included accommodation for our sponsors, airport transfers for all guests, a welcome dinner the night before, and the wedding itself. We honestly don’t think we could’ve achieved the same experience and value elsewhere.

We also had an intimate church wedding in Manila the week before the Bali celebration. No regrets at all 🥹 it was genuinely the best weekend of our lives and I only wish I could relive it all over again!!
