TBI C&P evaluation - less than 10 minutes…
Hello all. First time poster here. Have a claim for a TBI that I suffered back in 2013. Long story short… Fell off a cliff on a training patrol. 40 feet. Unconscious. Spine board. Bloody nose. Chipped teeth. Cracked bump helmet. Exploded tough book and camera lol. Medevac to hospital. X rays, ultrasound. No major immediate injuries. Bed rest. Light duty. “Get back to work idiot”.
Have a lot of symptoms over the past decade since the injury. Saw the TBI clinic for the first time last year and it hit me that a lot of my symptoms are probably due to the fall.
Anyway… Just finished my C&P exam. It was “Neuro - Initial evaluation for TBI”. It was online and took less than 10 minutes, 5 to be exact. He asked about the details of injury and what symptoms I have. That’s literally it.
I looked at the DBQ and there’s like 10 areas that need evaluated to determine a rating, didn’t go into any of those at all. Was I looking at the wrong DBQ?
Is this typical for an initial TBI evaluation? Will I be getting another exam? I don’t have one scheduled on the LSGS portal.
