Hydration pack recs

I'm running Javelina Jundred in October. I'm a female with a medium build looking for hydration vest recommendations. I'm looking for something lightweight and breathable with ample front pocket space. I'm not concerned as much with the back bladder size. Thanks for your help!

Future BQer 👋

32 year old female here. I have run 5 marathons and several half’s and ultra marathons. My goal for my marathon (Ogden) last weekend was sub 4. I made it in 3:54 and thought it was going to be a stretch but it really wasn’t.

I was holding myself back the entire race and waiting for it to “get hard” but it never did. I negative split, was able to accelerate late, no cardiac drift and didn’t bonk. The whole race felt really controlled and I was definitely not at my physiological limit.

This has led me to believe that with the proper training I am capable of a BQ. I know there are no short cuts and it will likely take me at least 2 training blocks to achieve a BQ.

Any and all advice is welcome! Training plans, what my goal should be for my pre BQ race, how to get from where I am now to where I want to be… I appreciate all the wisdom. I included my marathon splits for reference.

Sub 24 Javelina Jundred

I just ran a 3:54 marathon this past weekend and I am looking ahead to Javelina Jundred at the end of October. I know it’s a reach but I would like to aim for a sub 24 hour time. I am planning to use Ultra running Mags intermediate 100mi plan. I will also be running Bryce Canyon 50mi in September as a supported long run.

Couple of questions:

  1. The plan I’m using does not include strength training. I plan to add a recovery swim and upper body strength training on 1 of my 2 off days. I’d like to add 2 more strength sessions per week but idk how best to incorporate that?

  2. Pacing. I know I need to be averaging <14:24 per mile to make it (including aid stations) How do I create a pacing strategy? Better yet if it’s something I can input into my COROS watch

All tips are welcome! I need all the help I can get to succeed ❤️‍🔥
