Election Campaign Sign Alternatives?

Greetings everyone! 4 years ago, I was running in my local municipal election (Ontario, Canada) and asked this subreddit for ideas on zero-waste campaign signs. There were a number of great ideas and I settled on using sidewalk chalk instead of lawn signs and did fairly well for a 1st time candidate. Our municipal by-laws have changed so that signs are no longer permitted on any public property (including sidewalks), so I am once again seeking ideas from the community.

I was contemplating the idea of chalkboards, but the message would need to be re-applied after each rain. Signs will need to be out Sep 1 - Oct 26 and Oct tends to get a bit rainy. My current prototype is glass panes. There's lots glass panes available as builder's leftovers where I am (tempered glass that would be used for a deck railing), so I figured I'd get some glass markers and write on the underside like you see on car windshields. When the election is done, they can be washed off and go back to the construction market again. Circular economy for the win. Problem is, the liquid ink dry erase markers I've got from Staples aren't visible at all. Any thoughts on how to make a message visible on glass while still being able to wash it off later? Do car dealerships use a special kind of marker? Or, any suggestions on other zero-waste sign ideas? Thanks in advance.
