Trans Autistic Deaf homeless where to go?
Hi. I just don't know what to say at this point. I am Deaf ASL user which does make it harder- people often hang up on relay calls so showing up in person is probably best. I found The Gathering Place wondering if it's worth going there and begging for something. Does anyone have any insight into this? Please don't comment "get a job" that's not going to be the solution to this at this time. I am on disability and my income isn't enough to rent so that's my sole issue and I cannot work. I guess I am wondering is there any safe place to go even if it's an outdoor sanction site. Congregate shelters have been very rough for me from a safety standpoint and I am trying to avoid anything like that. Additionally, since I do not have any drugs or alcohol issues or mental health problems those places designed for that aren't appropriate either. And sadly, I am not a young adult or elderly :/ I am really losing hope to find anything even remotely humane or liveable.
