I was very unhappy with the OEM tuners. So, I bit the bullet and ordered a set of Gotoh 510s online. (I got the SGV510Zs, which have the screw position at 90 degrees.)

I had my local guitar shop install it for me. (My 414ce needed a neck adjustment and also new strings so I might as well get the tuner upgrade done too)

Absolutely worth every penny. Difference is night and day from the original tuners mine came with.

Bought this new during a flash sale at my local guitar store last April. 20% off. (Was $3,000. Snagged this for $2,400.)

Love how it sounds. It’s my first full-size Taylor. I also have a GS Mini that I’ve owned for almost 12 years. Much needed upgrade and I’m really happy with it.

(Also, don’t mind the blemishes. That’s just the lights reflecting. No issues with the gloss finish. Just needs a clean every now and then HAHAHAHAHA.)
