TL:DR at the bottom

The Truthear Zero:Red were my second pair of IEMs. The first one i ever got were LINSOUL KZ ZS10 PRO X.

To get the Pros out of the way:

1. The Audio experience is great. Compared to my Linsouls the audio is way nicer, i use them mainly for Gaming and it has been a great improvement compared to what i had before.
2. While i was scared that they would be too big for my ears, because alot of Reviews warned that they are bulkier, they fit great and i had no issues with weight even during longer Sessions.

These are sadly the only good points i can mention. My Main issue with them is how either they are produced incredibly poorly or have awful QC.

I bought them Mid March 2026. 1 1/2 months later the Left IEM developed a hollow sound, the Sound quality on it degraded at rapid speeds. When tapping it it sounded hollow and i could hear, f.e my teeth hitting each other incredibly loud.
When then trying to file a warranty claim thru their email i didnt get a reply, even till now.
When i joined their Discord i meet another person who also had a warranty claim who also didnt receive a reply.
Luckily i bought mine thru Aliexpress, he unluckily bought them thru Amazon. While i didnt get an Email reply the Support in the Discord told me i should DM them thru Aliexpress which, i need to give them points to, answered me incredibly fast and got me a replacement after i described them my issue, unlike the Guy who bought them thru Amazon who, as far as im aware, was unable to get a replacement.

When the replacement arrived i got some static sounds, which, while fixable thru buying an a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter, i didnt need for my Linsouls.

3 Months later the left IEM developed an issue where the Sound got quieter, While believing first that its just gunk buildup which was not the case, the Sound got quieter overtime and my software fix, changing the balance on them to be roughly 50/100 in the beginning, stopped working because it reached a point where i couldnt lower the balance any more.

Once again Aliexpress Support came thru and gave me a Replacement.

Now we arrive in the present. 6 months after the original purchase of my Truthear Reds. The same issue i had on the left IEM happend on the right IEM. I now am running a balance of 50/100 again but i know that the issue will get worse overtime just like it did before. The IEMs are most likely outside of the warranty timeframe, and even if they werent im not interested in again asking for a replacement that will most likely only work for another 3 months and take 2 weeks to ship to me.

Im incredibly disappointed in my purchase, im basically on my second pair of them so its not unlucky QC slipup when the same issue has happend twice in less then 6 months.

While the product is great when it works, i would not recommend anybody to buy these. the TRUTHEAR X Crinacle ZERO:RED are my first, and considering this experience, they will be my last product i will buy from Truthear. I cant say if this is an isolated issue from this exact model or if this is an issue from their entire lineup so if u are interested in any other Products from them i recommend u lookup other Reviews, to see if this issue is present in only the ZERO:REDs or other IEMs from Truthear.

To Circle back to my Linsouls i bought them in 2023 for the same price and while they are incredibly worn down right now, they still work perfectly fine.

TL:DR

Good Audio quality, awful QC and non existent Support if not bought thru Aliexpress.
