ML Engineer (4 YOE) recently moved to Vigo — Where to look for decent-paying ML/AI roles in Spain?
Hola a todos!
I recently relocated to Vigo and am starting my job search as a Machine Learning Engineer (4 YOE in deep learning and MLOps).
I live on my own, so I'm trying to figure out where to focus my applications to hit a target salary that comfortably covers living solo (rent + bills + saving) while advancing my career:
- Job Search Channels: Besides standard LinkedIn, what platforms or tech talent portals are best in Spain for mid-level ML/Data Science roles?
- Company Types: Are local Spanish companies offering decent compensation for mid-level ML roles, or should I target remote-first international companies with an entity in Spain?
- Salary Benchmark: Is €40k–€55k gross/year a realistic expectation for 4 YOE in Spain for remote or hybrid ML roles, or do local markets skew lower/higher?
Would appreciate any recommendations on target platforms, local/remote companies hiring in Spain, or general advice for navigating the tech market here!
