Gyaru makeup💕

Hi everyone!🩷

I have loved gyaru since I was little, and now I'm finally a baby gal, so I've been trying to learn as much as I can about the makeup.🥹

A while ago, I came across several scans from older gyaru magazines showing makeup that doesn't rely as much on false lashes. Instead, the focus seems to be on white eyeliner/eyeshadow around the inner corner and under the eyes. Since I have sensory issues and can't wear lashes or contacts, this style really caught my attention, and I've been using it as inspiration.

(I've attached some of the magazine scans that inspired me.)

Does anyone know if this makeup style has a specific name or if it's associated with a particular gyaru substyle? And would this still be considered gyaru makeup, even without lashes, since these examples are from gyaru magazines?

I'd really appreciate any information or historical context. I'm genuinely trying to learn.

Thank you!🩷☺️

Looking for feedback

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some honest feedback on four opening pages I've written.

I'm currently working on my dark fantasy & thriller/horror series, Eclipsed Hearts, and I'm sharing the first page from each of the four books. I know they're completely out of context, but that's kind of the point, I want to know what your first impression is. Would these openings make you want to keep reading? Did anything hook you (or lose you)?

I'm also including the first three pages from a few older manuscript ideas that I've decided not to continue. They're not connected to Eclipsed Hearts anymore and probably never will be, but I'm still curious to know what people think of them.

Please don't worry about being too critical. Constructive criticism is exactly what I'm looking for. Whether it's the writing style, pacing, dialogue, descriptions, characters, or just your overall impression as a reader, I'd love to hear it. Even small comments can be incredibly helpful.

And if you only have time to read one or two excerpts instead of all of them, that's completely okay! Any feedback is genuinely appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance to anyone who takes the time to read them. It really means a lot.❤️

Looking for feedback on the start of my book

Hi! I've just started writing my book that I've had in mind for over a year. The introduction will become more understandable and explained as the book progresses. There's a reason why the first pages of my book are in the form of a letter🙂‍↕️ I'm wondering if it's good/bad and/or if there's room for improvement☺️
