Today marks a historic victory for California's notary community and the biggest legislative achievement in CLIN's history.

Because thousands of supporters came together...

📬 1,950 letters of support were submitted.
🤝 Lawmakers from both parties supported the bill.
✍️ AB 1597 is now law.

This victory belongs to every person who believed that California notaries deserved a strong voice in Sacramento.

AB 1597 has officially passed both houses of the California Legislature and is now awaiting Governor Newsom's signature.

This bill will help expand access to notarial services, support small businesses, and modernize California's notary fee framework for the first time in nearly a decade.
