8 days in Italy for Umbria Jazz (Late flight to Rome), some itinerary help and transport advice!
Hi everyone!
My boyfriend and I are planning an 8-day trip to Italy this July, specifically to attend the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia. We are landing late at night at Rome FCO airport around midnight
Here is what we need help with:
What is the best way to get from the airport at that hour? Should we stay the first night in Rome near a train station (like Termini or Tiburtina) and head to Perugia the next morning?
What are the must-see spots in and around Perugia during the day before the jazz concerts start? Any hidden gems or local food recommendations (apart from the famous chocolate)?
Since we have 8 days total, we’d love to do 1 or 2 quick day trips around Umbria by train or bus.
How many days should we save for Rome at the end of our trip before flying out?
Thank you! ❤️
