I know we can't, but would you?... [CA]

I know it's illegal and highly unethical to reach out to other employers about their employees applying for other jobs, but I'm curious to see if you would.

I had a candidate respond to a rejection email for an open position with the eloquent sentence of "F--- off, Fa----ts!" A three second glance at the resume and LinkedIn confirmation showed this kid's current employer. It's so tempting to reach out to their HR person with a little heads up. Someone talk me off the HR ethics ledge here.

Has anyone actually done this, and what was the response? Did you hide your ID at all, or just go for it?
