Leave lump sum payout upon retiring
Hopefully there will be many ERI approvals over the next month or so. With people looking to retire late this year or in January. If we retire on December 30 with a sizable vacation leave balance, which I assume will be paid out within the next several weeks after retiring - will that payout be attributed to the 2026 or 2027 tax year?
