I don’t remember if Dionysus himself ever talks about it (the slacker only shows up in my runs once in a blue moon), but I remembered that in one version of his early life, Hermes saved him, turned him into a goat, and handed him over to the Nymphs to be raised. I’m not sure that’s actually canon in the world of Hades (same goes for Zeus giving birth to him from his thigh while apparently chewing on mackerel), but it feels like a possible reference.
