Question for those saying the torch bearers must be Cup winners
Just wondering if you’ve had this confirmed by an actual reputable source? Or if it’s more of an educated guess/opinion situation.
I’ve read some really well written and clearly thought out reasons for why people believe it should just be Cup winners. It’s poetic, I get it. But at the end of the day, the franchise is the one making the decisions.
I’m hoping to see Price with the torch, but I’m happy to see whoever it ends up being! And if it continues to just be Cup winners, I’m cool with that as well :)
ETA: like I said, I fully understand WHY people think this, I was just wondering if management or the franchise had ever explicitly stated this was what they’re doing? Doesn’t seem like they have. But loving all the guesses and hopeful suggestions from everyone and the team spirit in general!
