Now that my fitness test has been booked does the process of joining speed up?

I had my interview end of march and i had my opticians emails sent through which i left because i didn’t Have to do them and i have done my family heritage task but i still have received no info as to when my medical will be booked. I have emailed the medical team and had no response and my recruiter said he has no control over medical enquiries i was wondering if anyone has had similar issues or has any tips
