Yo why are the radical trainer npcs so overpowered compared the the gym leaders?
Seriously it's driving me insane how brokenly overpowered npc trainers are. It's been pretty frustrating but it's reached an all time high for me after encountering a trainer who spammed meteor beam with power herbs on every single one of her pokemon, oneshotting half my team and then outspeeding the other half by a country mile so she just 2 hit the ones that did survive since they only did so by a hair. (I was at the level cap by the way and so was she)
This then proceeds to get followed up by the gym leader who, despite also sitting at the same level of the random ass npc that swept me, moved slower than molasses, and the two pokemon that didn't get oneshot by me barely did enough damage to make me switch out the first mon i'd thrown in.
Why the hell are the npcs so strong as to be unfair 70 percent of the time, meanwhile gym leaders stopped feeling like a threat after I EV trained all my mons? it feels like the npcs need to be made way easier while the gym leaders need to be a little harder, and it's driving me crazy because I'm gonna have to put up with for at least three more badges plus the elite four before maybe being able to switch to bdsp, assuming cobbleverse even has that league available since it just forces you into the radical red kanto league the second you load into a new world and i didn't find out it existed until i was so deep into kanto that i'd be throwing away a good two weeks of playtime by switching and starting over
