Noah Wyle and misogyny.

In a recent podcast defending his arrogant claims that no one needs more night shift, Noah Wyle makes another unsupported claim that the night shift is filled with mothers who would make a night shift spin of "a lot more boring".

He speaks with authority over a topic that he has no experience in, while stigmatizing the real women who run the ER. The "love letter" to healthcare workers has turned into a vehicle for Wyle's redemption after a career tainted by his bad behavior, while he continues to prove how he hasn't changed. Al-Hashimi is a mother (and the most compelling character to me), Dana is a mother, Mckay is a mother, but according to Wyle, a motorcycle is a more interesting than these working mothers.

This is another example of misogyny straight from Wyle's mouth and I hope people start to examine the realities of a production run by three white men with a history of mistreating women.

I also can't wait to see the next PR campaign that comes out to protect Wyle and the show before awards season. This is becoming a pattern where he puts his foot in his mouth in the press and PR campaigns come out to protect him by targeting the fans who call out racism and misogyny. The history of studios using the press to protect white male hegemony is a fascinating subject to dive into by the way.
