I read the picture book around 2013-2014 in Chinese and it was definitely translated. The book left me a strong impression as a kid.

Some plots that I recall:

• Picture book, read around 2013–2014 in Chinese (translated)
• Human girl kid main character competes against other human girls to be chosen as a witch
• The trial/selection happens on a set periodic schedule, I think every year?
• Several trials were put out to the kid, candy was involved in one of the trials
• The winner enters the witch world through a furniture (I think it was a physical drawer?) as a door
• Inside is a full-sized world with witches flying on broomsticks and the story ends there
