I’m on day 19 of 21 pills and I had a small stomach bug at the beginning of my pack (you can refer back to my old posts if needed). I only had diarrhea twice after taking the pill for that day, one bout an hour and a half after taking, and another an hour after that. Then my bug resolved. The diarrhea only lasted about 12 hours and it was partially soft stool partially liquid towards the end. For 7 days after my partner and I refrained from sex just to be safe. but we had sex recently (with the birth control as my only protection) and now I’m worried about taking the sugar pill break. Would I not be protected during that if there’s a chance that 1 pill did not absorb? Also I usually shorten my break to 6 days instead of 7 already if that matters at all. GROSS WARNING: I take the combo pill isibloom and I got sick last night around 3am, I had softer stool that still had form for a few bouts which then turned to mush then liquid. I usually take my pill in the morning but I took it at 12 today cause I had taken a few doses of pepto bismol and my bowel movements had slowed down by then. I also took it with some toast (first bit of food I’ve had today). After I took it I had 2 more bouts of watery stool, one at 1:26pm and another at 2:30pm but I finally am feeling a bit better after that and not sure if I will continue to be sick. Is my protection compromised with those 2 bouts after taking it? I’m on pill 4 of my pack today for more context. Thank you for reading!!

I take isibloom a combo pill, and I have been sick for about an hour now on the toilet with loose stool. I’m scheduled to take my pill in the morning (8am) and I’m not sure what to do cause I don’t want it to just pass right through me! I had no condom sex with my boyfriend a day ago. Please give me any advice, I was thinking of going out to get pepto bismol and to take that to try and calm things down. Oh also I’m on day 4 today of this months pack. I’ve been on it for years I just haven’t had GI sickness in forever and it’s making me super nervous.
