Strange mushroom found in cave, Sintra, Portugal

While visiting the Regaleira in Sintra, Portugal, I stumbled upon this strange mushroom. It was growing attached to the upper walls of the cave system that is connected to the Regaleira. I could not find any other specimens in the cave system. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on what they think it is¡
