Hi I’m 28.
Multiple times in the past few months, my vulva has been itchy and I thought I had a yeast infection. I went to the gyno recently and told her I had a few mild yeast infections recently and she didn’t seem to pay any attention to it and just asked if they resolve. I will just take Azo for a few days until it clears up. The itching is not inside the vagina. There is no smell, no discharge. Just prickly pain and itching on the vulva. My husband and I are obviously sexually active and TTC. Yesterday we had sex, and by the end of the day I wanted to peel my skin off from the itching. It’s gone away now, 24 hours later. I’ve recently switched to only cotton panties but yesterday I did wear synthetic underwear. I’m so confused as to what’s causing this because I’ve never had yeast infections back to back like this in my whole life so I don’t think anymore that it’s yeast. Could it be the soap he uses? I do tend to be very sensitive to soaps and only use non-scented in that area myself. It’s becoming very frustrating because since we are TTC, a lot of days I am just uncomfortable and itchy so we don’t do the deed and now I worry about the impacts on our intimate relationship. Anyone experience this or have any tips?
