I've been chipping away at this stump with a chainsaw. I was wondering if it would be safe to grind out the stump or keep at it with the chainsaw and use mulch to decompose the stump. (Any other tips would be appreciated.) The other tree is within 3ft of the previous so I'm unsure on taking it down to the ground would cause serious damage to its living counterpart.
