Passed - First Attempt AT/AT/AT - Another Tips and Tricks Post

Hi all,

Huge shoutout to this community. I followed the guidance of the popular posts and succeeded on my first shot. I'll add my two cents.

Like many others, I did my 35 hours throught the AR Udemi course. Personally, I liked it. I listened to the whole thing on 1.5 speed, and gained a good understanding of the terminology being used by PMI. Having done project management for 10 years, it was useful to get myself using the language PMI expects.

AR's video on the application, when I watched it, was a bit outdated (they modified their system a bit) but still very useful. No audit. Got approved in three days.

I then studied my butt off for two weeks. I got the Study Hall subscription and committed about 3 hours a day on average for 14 days. I had planned to take my exam virtually, but experienced system issues (see my other post).

Based on feedback from this community, I booked a test in a neighboring city. Going to the testing site was much less stressful. Highly recommend. I managed to book it about three weeks after my original virtual date. I was a bit nervous because I didn't have time to review the material much before the exam, but I guess the info was still in my brain from my intense study sessions.

Like others have said. The exam is hard, it's long, but WAY less wordy than the mock exams. I wasn't confident answering the questions, but I also wasn't discouraged while doing it.

Mock Exams: 1 - 73 2 - 70 3 - 69

I think my mock scores went down because I did them three days in a row between 5am and 9am. Mini Exams I scored pretty much between 8 - 10 across them all.

Once again, thank you to everyone. I've pasted a messy copy/paste of my detailed study material.

Best of luck to everyone!

What I feared the worst, happened.

So I followed the prep instructions on this sub, and I gotta say I was feeling pretty ready for the PMP. Four weeks of cramming, as a father of three, I've been getting up at 5am to study, so I can still be present for my family.

Day before my exam, I empty my office of additional monitors, pull the cork boards off the wall, perform two successful system tests through the OnVUE app.

This morning, up early, coffee and food, quick review of the principles. Get my entire family out of the house for the day, because I can't risk the kids barging into the office and me failing on a technicality. Check in at 8, take pictures of my surroundings, everything was going as planned. Until the secure browser test.

Even after my test the day before, for some reason, an app or process labeled "system" was being picked up now and wouldn't let me move on to the exam. I tried EVERYTHING, I pulled out my second laptop, same issue. I ended tasks, rebooted, cleared cookies, you name it. A half hour of trouble shooting later, I start looking for some customer service help.

Managed to get a hold of some PMI customer support agents on the website. They suggest clearing cookies, and rebooting. That was their suggestions before they told me they'd escalate my issue and get back to me in 3 days. Eventually, I found a chat help for OnVUE, and I only got an answer 30 minutes later. We'll see where that goes.

I gotta say, I'm pretty upset right now, and incredibly disappointed with the online test system. Now I know I'm going to have to dispute paying an additional fee to book another test, and I'm going to be stressed as all hell that this will happen again. After this experience, I can't in good conscious recommend taking the test at home. The risk is real.

I'll keep you all updated with how this moves forward, and I'd love to know if anyone else dealt with this issues - exam 08/01/2026 at 0830.
