Starting my journey (as cost efficient as possible!)
Hi all! I’m looking into starting Mounjaro and trying to figure out the most cost-effective route. I’ve always been overweight, after losing 20kg naturally I’ve hit a plateau at 98kg and think I just need some help with the final push!
I have a GP visit card, and my GP has actually prescribed weight loss medication for me previously, but it was around the time of the shortages so I never ended up starting it.
I’m thinking of going back to my GP and using the visit card for the consultation/prescription, but I’m wondering what the best route is after that - do I just take the prescription to a pharmacy and shop around for the best price, or are there cheaper options/pharmacies people would recommend?
I’m trying to avoid paying for one of the private online services if I don’t need to, as the monthly cost adds up. This money will be a really tight stretch but I know my health deserves it.
