I understand that it was only recently during COVID that MLB introduced the automatic runner on second at the start of extra innings. Seems like a great idea to me: games are pretty long already and it makes it exciting right from the start of the extra innings. So what is the logic behind _not_ having them in postseason games? Are we just less fussed about tiring out the players after they've completed 162?
