Questions about changing Gleason numbers.
I will try to keep this short.
First biopsy in January returned Gleason 3+3. There were however concerns that it missed the “Region of Interest” (tumor) spotted on the MRI. I educated myself and requested a Fusion Guided MRI Biopsy to verify the results.
This happened this week and I just got the preliminary report and my follow up with my first urologist is Tuesday. One core from the ROI came back Gleason 3+4 in the guided biopsy. Boundaries are clean, nothing else bad. My PSA has climbed in the last six months.
How concerned should I be about the changes in Gleason and Psa? The tumor measured is 2x1.2 cm or something like that. I am starting to read and educate myself about treatments when previously I had assumed I would be on AS for a while.
Any thoughts, comments or suggestions for follow up questions would be appreciated.
