Deficiency.
You would not know love
If he gazed you in your eyes.
Neither would he understand loyalty
If she grasped his hand for a lifetime and an eternity.
You think he showed love
Through his gifts and wads of cash.
Whilst he thought you showed yours in delicacies selected for him and him alone.
In one world it was only you and him
Him and her.
The other hand suggested a defeated infinity.
And that’s neither of your faults
neither your concerns.
In the end it was broken
Even though it was never assembled to begin with.
Whilst in the beginning the stars must’ve been off by just a tad.
It was never meant to be and that was never a mystery.
Yet you and the world question why, oh why?
Don’t you ever think I’m you.
Or she is her.
Because I’ve stared love deep behind her mind
And clutched so hard our arm are diamond.
