Just finished Amphibia
May be a bit of a trash post but I'm so emotional after finally finishing my first watch through...
So much to my surprise I found the subreddit and finished the show on the same day as the original finale air from 4 years ago. It feels like I can finally join y'all in the feels.
This show started off so slow for me. I came from being a yearly watcher of gravity falls, to jumping onboard to owl house, to finally getting to Amphibia. At first I wasn't sure about it, the 10 min episode splits to not rally connecting that well to the characters in the beginning. But as I kept trudging, its heart slowly opened up to me. This show came out of left field with the Thai representation, to being set in LA (born and raised what what!) - this show very quickly endeared itself to me. I'm so glad I get to join the ranks of folks who finished this wonderful story, and experience the character growth and showcase of love and support that I feel like is hardly ever centered in storytelling. And for you ATLA fans, i'd even argue is a very close runner up to zuko's redemption arc with Sasha's redemption arc.
What a wonderful show, I need to visit the aquarium of the pacific now and find Anne - and maybe see a frog or two.
