I just love hanging out at my local shop on a Saturday, picking up my weekly order and going through back issues — it really is so relaxing. Love this week’s Absolute Batman #23 variants and I’ve been going back and picking up DC KO variants as I came back into comic book collecting right about in the middle of it. Someone sniped some old Wonder Woman variants that I had my eye on, but that’s my fault for not picking them up earlier! I’ll find ‘em again sometime soon. Still looking forward to some stuff I have coming in the mail and already can’t wait until next Saturday at the shop! 🙌🏻😊

Short weekend trip to Lake Michigan proved fruitful with some variants that I wasn’t necessarily looking for but decided to nab nonetheless. I love traveling and being able to find local comic shops to wander into and explore. Always find something to take home.

Very happy to be able to pick up this Skottie Young 1:25 variant via the mail today! This is going to be a favorite cover of mine — both for this year and of all time! 😃

Really been looking forward to this week’s pickups for these annuals. Love a good Lobo appearance — he’s hilarious. And the Foccillo variant on the Superman annual is really awesome — one of my favorite covers so far this year and I’m only three months into collecting again.

Did some online shopping this week too — looking forward to a mail haul call coming soon!

Since getting back into comic collecting, I’m not collecting everything in a series, but mostly just covers that I like. Had a great Saturday hanging out at my local shop, talking to the owners and just spending a good hour going through boxes of old stuff and picking up new stuff for the week. I just get such a good feeling there — it’s like a personal sanctuary from the real world — and it never gets old nor leaves anything but a smile on my face.

Of El #10 and Superman #40 — “Prime” continues to be one of my favorite characters and I hope they continue to do things with him.

Short week at the local shop this week. Kind of knew I didn’t have much to pick up and that there’s much more coming in the next few weeks. Really like these Silver Surfer facsimile editions. Mostly this week I just got joy and going through boxes of back stock and adding to the “future wants” list. Sometimes it’s just as enjoyable to hang out at the shop and thumb through things knowing you don’t have to buy it all that particular moment — save the spending money, it’ll come. 😊

So happy with my Saturday at my local shop(top row) — picked up two Whitman variants — and then came home to find my mail order from earlier in the week was delivered (bottom row)! Got four 1:25 variants for half off each with a summer online sale!

Only been collecting again since April and just walking around my local shop this afternoon, I was just so happy to be collecting again that I think I had a smile the whole time. Spent about an hour in there, and it was just absolutely therapeutic. I 🩷 this!

Mail stuff (top) and shop tour (bottom) from the last couple days ahead of the holiday weekend. Didn’t find the Superman: Book of El variant that I was looking for at any of my local shops — but I’m very happy with this week’s stuff and still having a blast exploring the shops! And if I don’t come up with it in the next few days, that’s what the mail is for! 😃

After hitting my shop on Wednesday, made a tour of the area and hit four other shops that I don’t get to very often. Picked up some nice stuff that I was looking for and just simply had a blast on Saturday and Sunday going to shops and talking with people about comics — will definitely be back to some of these places sooner than later — just a great time that made me happy.

A combination of mail stuff coming in and trip to my local shop. I’m barely four months into collecting again and really loving it.

After about 25 years out of the #comics hobby, I’ve gotten back into it this year. Really loving it. Picked up these nice ones last week.
