Especially considering what future summers in Ireland could be like, and the electricity bills, climate impact, etc.
I have seen some politicians (and many more redditors) on Irish Reddit and the Media advocate for State-owned versions of these businesses, despite their cost increases being driven by market prices, weather, inflation, population changes etc. which a State-run company would also have to deal with, unless the idea is to make sure it loses money every year at the cost of the taxpayer, along with the inconvenient fact that their net margins are often quite thin.
On Insurance specifically, what would your thoughts on a Mutual Insurer in Ireland be, like they have in other countries?
