Pain therapy

Has anyone here tried red/green light therapy bed or laser therapy? I have an appointment for both on Saturday. AI told me to check with the doctor since I’m on Celebrex which honestly doesn’t help. Maybe I’ll stop taking it in time for my appointment. But I’m wondering if it’ll help the pain of my ulna fracture. It’s been a month of hell with no relief in sight.

Pain

I posted about my ulna fracture (caused by a car accident) last week. I’m at three and a half weeks now and still in pain. I hate the plastic splint. It digs into my wrist and I still feel tons of pain in my arm. Pretty sure it’s not supposed to hurt this much by now.

I have terrible back pain both upper and lower. The pain management doctor has ordered X-rays for tomorrow but will only order 3 areas at a time. I’m worried whatever is causing the pain won’t show up on an X-ray (though, not a doctor so obviously I have no idea).

I still have chest pain. I can barely sneeze properly. It sounds funny and then my chest spasms. They did a CT scan in the hospital and said nothing is broken. Does it really take months to feel relief?

I’m barely getting any sleep. The doctor treating my arm prescribed Celebrex and muscle relaxers that barely scratch the surface. With Tylenol mixed in.

I don’t know if I should find a new orthopedic. At this rate I’m tempted to go back to the hospital. But I worry they won’t do the proper imaging and then I’ll just be walloped with a massive bill.

I guess this is more of a vent than a plea for advice. I don’t know how to resume any semblance of life feeling this way. School is about to start and now my husband will have to take on my role as a mother because I am not capable of packing a lunch let alone driving a car.

Distal radius fracture

EDIT: ULNA FRACTURE

Saw a friend yesterday who’s an orthopedic. The only reason I let him convince me to stay in this thing without me demanding to just put me in a real cast is because he swears I won’t need surgery after 8 weeks of absolute hell. I think I can finally seem my pain a 10 and that’s probably because this isn’t the only part of my body that’s in agony. To add insult to injury he said I should stop taking the Celebrex another orthopedic wrote for me. I agreed but woke during the night with off the charts pain and took anyway. I have to get in touch with the prescribing doctor. It’s not like it works that well anyway but I am beyond desperate.

Distal radius fracture

I was in a car accident 7/23/26 three weeks ago. A woman hit the back right corner of my car at high speed and pushed me head on into oncoming traffic. It’s a miracle I survived. Amongst back and rib injuries I have a distal radius fracture on my left dominant arm. I was in a soft cast and now a forearm clamshell. I hate it. The softcast was cut by the orthopedic and I’m thinking about asking to go back to it due to the broken bone clicking. My fingers feel sore but also a little numb. He prescribed me Celebrex. Took the first dose last night and it hasn’t helped at all. I feel useless as a mother as I recover. I’m so depressed and in SO much pain.
