Help Crating Foster cats
This is my third time fostering cats (my apartment doesn’t allow dogs). I have a pair of brothers. I’ve had them for about a week and a half and now my grandpa is in the hospital and I have to travel back to my hometown for the foreseeable future.
Yesterday was the day I needed to take them back but one of the cats would NOT let me put him the crate. I tried for hours to the point the shelter closed. I put his brother in just fine but when he saw me do that he instantly knew what was happening. I was using the blanket method and a top carrier. They also share a crate which doesn’t help me. They are very sweet cats but become hissy and growls when approached. But so sweet when they approach me.
I need help getting this foster cat in the crate, all the tips in the book. He is so squirmy. Hides and WILL NOT come out, no matter what. He is a hefty cat. I tried multiple times to grab him with the blanket but he is too quick and just escapes, then hides. I once got him in the bathroom and shut the door. Tried again and he tore my bathroom up, eveything was knocked down and my shower curtain were ripped up because how much he was panicking.
