Mask fit problems still a month in
Hi I’m over a month into using CPAP for the first time and I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my mask and the fit right. I have a N20 small. I have been having a lot of trouble getting the fit comfortable for my head and good for the seal. If it’s too loose, the seal becomes a problem, if it’s tight enough to not have seal problems, I get headaches and more jaw clenching. I also was thinking today that maybe the whole mask is too big for my head? Because it seems to fit flat on my head while I’m sitting up but when I lay down, there’s a huge gap between the top of my head and the top of the strap - like I can fit both hands flat in between. So I was thinking maybe that’s complicating things. I was considering trying out the for her size straps to see if that helps any. But also not sure at this point if I should just go towards another mask entirely? I didn’t like the P30 mask when I tried it for titration study but that was also when EPR was not turned on so I had trouble exhaling in that mask. I’m constantly adjusting the mask during the night so looking for any suggestions on how to improve with this mask or if I should just move toward a different one.
