I just kinda wanna whine about my slow progress, thanks.

Sorry if this is off-topic, or a bit of a ramble!

I was never active in my life except a bit nearly a decade ago when I ran a 5k. I've been seriously pushing myself for about a month now, after basically only using my bike to bring groceries to and back.

I can barely average 15km/hr, I worked my ass off to go 20 miles a few days ago, I am proud of myself but it's frustrating seeing youtubers and others online talk about going 60, 70, 100 miles in a day on bikes that cost more than my entire life!

I can't imagine, it feels herculean. And good for them! I don't mean to spoil anyone's eggs, I'm in awe that to some that's normal. I hit a 54 foot hill and I had to get off my bike and walk it because I was huffing and puffing.

I'm overweight, obese even. I carry it well in terms of looks, I feel. And I am losing, but it's slow. I hope it's my weight holding me back because if its my bike, well, that was $250 new and thats more than half my rent lol I am NOT getting anything better any time soon. I read someone else on reddit say 50miles in a day is doable from nothing in less than 2 months. Hey, no! Not for me!

I want to get there, I want to do longer rides, faster, more gracefully. I really haven't fallen in love with a physical activity like I have with cycling before. I'm far from quitting, just wanted to complain and maybe make the struggle more visible for other people like me who straight up suck at this really bad! Thanks for reading lol
