Advice wanted: would you go to war with Castile at this point in my save? Very strong France Ally, but a bit debt loaded and vulnerable to France peacing out early.

Looking for advice as in my (RNW) colony rush game, I'm trying to prevent myself being ultimately crushed by Spain.

I have two saves uploaded for people to dl & review: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qyvyFll5wni9RgovFxPJfhVo2IGREEjc?usp=sharing

The first is just before I first tried to declare war, but they immediately took over all of Iberian Portugal and bankrupted me.

The second, I decided to land troops in Rousillon, to closely cooperate with the French armies operating there, while keeping Portugal guarded with forts. This somewhat worked for a while as my defensiveness was high and they couldn't take Portugal fully. However it took too long, I got bankrupted, and then France peaced out for a few provinces.

My questions are:
A) is the war winnable in any of the two saves?

B) which is the best time to go to war? (I'd prefer earlier but understand waiting if it was a bad idea)

C) Is my best strategy actually to secure my position first? (pay down debt, develop more colonies, fortify more, get better army stats?
