When will we see base console footage?
I'm very hyped for this game, but honestly my hype has been tempered a whole lot from the fact that IO Interactive hasn't released gameplay footage from standard PS5/Xbox Series X. We've seen plenty of Ps5 Pro footage, but not footage from a standard PS5 or an Xbox Series X. I'll be playing this game on a base console, and the fact that we haven't seen any gameplay footage from current-gen base consoles is honestly very concerning to me. When given the option between graphics and performance modes, I pretty much always pick performance mode, so I'd like to know whether or not that mode is going to be blurry to the point where it becomes an issue.
I think that IO has a pretty good optimization track record so far, so I don't want to start pointing fingers, but I'm curious as to why all of the console footage we've seen thus far has been on PS5 Pro specifically. Is it just because they're confident enough in the base console performance that they don't feel the need to show it, or is it because they have a feeling people won't like what they see? I think it would put a lot of our minds at ease to at least see what the game will look like ahead of time on base consoles.
