[Spoiler: 3.3] Just In Case You Didn't Know What Lahai-Roi C3 Segue Ending Achievement Is Actually Referencing

After finishing the Lahai-Roi: C3 segue, you got an achievement called "Amanojaku".
If you're not deep into VOCALOID, you might just think it's a random Japanese phrase. But here's the thing — it's literally named after a 14-year-old VOCALOID song, and the entire song is about a liar who says the opposite of what they mean. Sound familiar?
The song is "Amanojaku" (天ノ弱 — literally "Heaven's Weakness" / "Born Coward") by 164, originally sung by VOCALOID virtual singer GUMI.
It was uploaded to niconico in May 2011, hit 1 million plays in December that year, and is now sitting at well over 10 million across platforms — basically a "VOCALOID legend" at this point.
The title "Amanojaku" is a famous double pun in Japanese:
- 天邪鬼 (Amanojaku) — a mischievous spirit that always does the opposite of what's expected. Basically, a "contrary person."
- 天生の弱虫 (Tensei no yowamushi) — "a born coward."
>(Notice that the characters for "heaven" (天) and "weakness" (弱) are hiding inside this word — that's the song title.)
Both readings fit the song perfectly. And both readings also fit Denia perfectly.
The song is a frantic, fast-paced rock track about someone who can't say what they actually mean. Every line is a contradiction — "I'm not thinking about you… okay, maybe a little." "We can just be friends… that's fine." It's not fine. It's the most "口是心非" thing ever written.
As for how this relates to Denia — let's just look at the lyrics.

I won't let my own feelings get involved here, but if you ask me… She already told us.
The secret code for "until we meet again" is to say every "like" as "hate" — words that say the opposite of what you mean.
The lyrics say:
"I'll wait until I can see the back of the back of your words… just waiting is fine, isn't it?"
In story, Denia was literally built to be a liar. Her name, her identity, her emotions — all fabricated. Except the one thing that became real was her heart.
Anyway. Someone at Kuro definitely loves this song.
P.S. — About the two versions of the song
The original 164 version is a fast rock track — frantic, fancy, full of energy.
But there's also an acoustic / piano version (originally by Shakaijin / "New Society Person") that gives the song a completely different, melancholic feel.
I personally love the raw energy of the original rock version more, but I have to admit the acoustic version matches Denia's story way better. Same words, but the delivery sounds more like someone quietly accepting loss than frantically spinning out.
If you want to hear the song, search for the name in English or Japanese on YouTube or your preferred platform. You'll find both versions and there should be tons of covers. The piano version hits differently after you know the context.
