Is 30 considered late to seriously pursue theatre/drama school?
Hi!
I’ve been seriously thinking about pursuing acting/theatre training later in life, possibly applying to drama school around age 30.
I know there’s technically no “expiration date” on art, but I’d really like to hear honest perspectives from people who work in theatre or studied acting themselves.
- How common is it for people to start later?
- Is theatre generally more accepting of age than film/TV?
- Have any of you started training professionally in your late 20s or 30s?
- What were the biggest challenges?
I’m not really looking for motivational clichés — I’m more interested in realistic experiences and industry perspectives.
Thank you!
