I’m choosing between UCLA and Vanderbilt as an undecided STEM major, and I’ve already weighed the usual factors: cost, weather, location, size, environment, etc.

At this point, I’m mainly curious about prestige and general outlook from the average person/redditor. Not necessarily specific major rankings, or detailed fit factors. Just overall reputation. I like both equally.

Which school has the stronger name brand / prestige in your opinion?

Would your answer change depending on region, industry, or grad school goals? And if you heard someone chose one over the other, which choice would be more impressive to you at first glance?
