How to Pass Insurance Exam
Hey everybody! Just passed my Life and Annuities exam and put in my application with the State. Just wanted to post this for people who are currently studying/want to know how to pass this exam first try.
XCEL SOLUTIONS is the GOAT
They made this test EASY.
8 wrong answers out of 105 questions (92%)
Here are some tips/things to avoid for XCEL
I read through each chapter of the course not knowing this wasn’t necessary at all. If I could go back I would skip through the entire course or just skim over it super fast and spend all of your time on the reviews and review exams. Once you have gone through those start working on the practice exams.
The only practice exam I took was the 200 questions one. I took it twice and scored an 82%-83% which is still failing to their standards but I already had my test scheduled for the next day. XCEL and the test questions are basically identical, only a couple things I didn’t recognize on the test but still only 8 wrong out of 105.
The only exam tip I can give I’m not even positive it works but it was advice I heard online and worked for me. Take five minutes at the beginning of the exam to flag every single question. Apparently when you get a question wrong they will continue to throw questions at you from the same subject so locking in all your questions in the beginning ensures no funny business is taking place. Also make sure to read through the questions carefully, XCEL will give you a lot of this, probably more than necessary, but lots of double negatives and things to look out for.
Anyways, good luck and drop any tips for a new agent down below🙌
