Less than a week after my seven year Amaversary, I was let go. 30 minutes ago as of me typing this out. 50 minutes when I'm finished.
I was a Field Quality Assurance Specialist for DHX4 and worked at five total delivery stations in the greater Houston area (launching one) plus 28 days at a Non-Sort Fulfillment Center.
My position had me drive in a corporate rental from Avis/Budget to different locations to gather delivery information for the van and Flex drivers; business hours, access codes, safe delivery location; and make sure the delivery pins are on the correct delivery location.
I was terminated based on allegedly sharing confidential information on this website in the r/AmazonFlexDrivers subreddit describing a single Flex driver that picked up 25 packages from station, drove 15 minutes in the opposite direction, then returned with all 25 packages. That Flex driver did that to a total of 125 packages and was promptly off-boarded (to my knowledge). No information specifically identifying the Flex driver was shared. The only information showing was the off-boarding and reason: Packages Not Delivered. 32% defect rate or something.
This morning, my employment with Amazon ended with a Category 1 infraction for allegedly sharing confidential information. No information about what confidential information I shared other than the terms allegedly only Amazon uses. Yet... yet... a now former colleague at DHT4 who's still in his FQA position went on a plane ride during his shift around two years ago. But wait... there's more. Another now former colleague still in his FQA position at DDX7 brought a pocket knife to a fulfillment center about six months ago.
Where are their Category 1 infractions? You bet I brought that up. "Those two are independent investigations." I know nothing will come of those two. Two years and six months and allegedly no investigations.
Well... off to the next job. Wherever that is.
Take it easy, gang.

P.S. They had me drive 1 hour 15 minutes to work to hear the news.
