Authentication of thrifted Ferragamo shoes?
Hello! I thrifted these (potential) Ferragamo shoes. They feel very nice and well-crafted, the stitching is even, the soles are definitely leather. However, I am thinking they may not be real because the silver foil on top of the logo stamp is a bit “messy”. I also noticed that the ID/size stamp is on the inside of the foot on one shoe, and on the outside of the foot on the other. While the placement of the size stamp is the same in both shoes, the last letter on one of them (B) coming off because it seems like it was stamped over the suede. Other than these flaws, the logo text, stamp on the bottom of the shoe, etc. all look pretty good compared to what I see online - I don’t have any other Ferragamo pieces to compare to, and I know it could vary a lot by year anyways.
I haven’t been able to find any other pair online, except for one on sale in Japan on the secondhand market, seems like it’s from a regular person who was just selling their one-off pair of shoes rather than a mass producer. Usually I’m pretty good at figuring out if something is legit from the thrift, but this has thrown me from a loop!
I would appreciate any input!
