Endometriosis treatment in Pittsburgh

I was diagnosed with endo/adeno with a provider through AHN in April 2025. Since then the only option I was given was to take birth control. I tried to advocate for myself because BC gives me horrible mood swings and depression. And I haven’t been on it for 10+ years due to that. But he stated that was my only option. I bled horribly for weeks so bad that I had to get the depo shot on top of the pills to help everything slow down enough. After a rough summer 2025 I ended up on anti depressants to help combat the BC, and in the fall during my check in stated I wasn’t happy, but since my periods leveled out with all of the medication and my mental state was being helped with the antidepressants he brushed me off.. Well after the depo wore out of my system, the pills stopped working and my breakthrough periods starting lasting 3 weeks at a time, on top of normal periods as well. So my flairs have been extremely bad. My pain is now radiating into my knees and he doesn’t believe me. Even though my knees only flair directly after my periods end. He said that’s not how endo works and I should see orthopedics. He also switched my BC to a higher dose. Since this one isn’t working. I just don’t know what to do. I’m so unhappy. Are there any other specialists in the Pittsburgh area that have other options for endo besides birth control. Or is BC the only tool for every doctor. My weight, mental state, and mobility are all suffering and I feel like I’m being swept to the side.
