For context: my ex and I were together for 5 years. We had the luxury lifestyle, penthouse apartment, all of it. Me and the other guy had been friends the whole time. Nothing ever happened between us while I was with my ex, but I realised I was in love with him.

I tried to completely remove him from my life (no contact) because I thought that was the “right” thing to do, but eventually I had to admit to myself that it wasn’t what I wanted.

Generally amicable breakup with the ex who is a great guy. I live with highschool guy now and am extremely happy with my decision. I’m a woman and 27 years old.

A lot of my friends thought I was completely stupid so ask me anything lol.
